On October 28, 2022, the 42th Zhi·Xin Forum of our college was held via the online Tencent conference. Associate Professor Lu Liu from the City University of Hong Kong was invited to give a talk titled “Recent Research on Intelligent Systems and Control”.
Firstly, Associate Professor Lu Liu briefly introduced the City University of Hong Kong, its related majors and the PhD application programs. Then, some typical application scenarios and current challenges of intelligent systems and control were discussed. After that, the main research topics of her research group (including distributed optimal coordination, optimal self-deployment control, event-triggered cooperative control and fault detection filtering) were presented. The practical application scenarios, research motivations and challenges, problem formation, algorithm design and innovation points of the latest research results for each topic were described in details. Finally, some research directions for intelligent systems and control in the future were proposed.
After the talk, Associate Professor Lu Liu exchanged views with the teachers and students on issues related to intelligent systems and control. The talk further expanded the research horizons of our students and enhanced their understanding and knowledge of advanced technologies in the field of intelligent systems and control.
